FAQ

I want to plan a kitchen renovation – where do I start?
The first step to designing your kitchen is to meet with one of our designers in our showroom. This is an opportunity for our designers to familiarize themselves with your project and for you to learn about our processes. In the initial meeting you will go over the details of the project, discuss timelines and budget, and review our cabinet offerings. You can find our complete design process here.
How much does a new kitchen cost?

The final cost of your kitchen will vary depending on size, complexity, and overall design. A CWK designer will walk you through the various elements that will impact cost such as materials and finishings. It is important to consider how much you want to invest in the project ahead of time so that we can provide you with a kitchen that meets your needs and your budget accordingly.

How long is the design and installation process?
The process timeline will vary depending on the complexity and size of the project, however, the typical process from first meeting to final kitchen installation is approximately 3-4 months.
Where are your cabinets manufactured?
Our cabinets are Canadian manufactured in Mississauga, ON and Rimouski, QC.
Do you sell appliances?
CWK does not sell appliances. However, we will recommend preferred local vendors and can offer suggestions for appliances best suited for your kitchen design.
What kind of warranty do your cabinets have?
Frendel cabinets offer a 2-year warranty and Miralis cabinets offer a 20-year warranty. If an issue arises outside of those times, we will do our best within our capacity to assist you with any problems.

 * NOT included in Warranty;

  • Damage &/or deterioration due to normal wear & tear of the products arising from use
  • Damage &/or defect attributed in whole or in part to the misuse, abuse or neglect of the products
  • Deterioration &/or damage to the products attributable to the elements, including but not limited to exposure to sunlight, water leaks or fire
  • Damage &/or defects attributable to any modification, alteration or correction of the products by any person not authorized by cabinet manufacturer
Will you remove and dispose of my existing kitchen?
CWK does not remove or dispose of your existing kitchen. However, we can recommend someone to you who will. You may choose to remove the kitchen yourself and sell or donate the cabinets to the ReStore.
How much does it cost to meet with a designer?
The initial cost to meet with a designer is free. A 10% retainer will be required after the first design proposal should you want to move forward in the design process.
Can you design from plans?
CWK can design from plans to provide initial designs and estimates. We do ask to meet with you in our showroom first to discuss your timeline, design ideas, and budget.

We will want to do a final site visit to confirm measurements and layout.

Do you only design kitchens?
CWK can design a variety of custom cabinetry options for your home such as media units, mudrooms, laundry rooms, closets, offices, vanities, and of course kitchens.
Are your cabinets custom?
CWK does offer a line of custom cabinetry. Miralis cabinets can be configured and designed to provide you with the kitchen of your dreams. *Certain limitations do exist
Do you sell countertops?
We do liaise with local and preferred vendors to offer you a selection of stone countertop options.
Who will install my kitchen?
CWK has experienced installers who are experts in our offerings and will ensure that the kitchen you order is installed professionally and up to our highest standards. You may choose to install the kitchen yourself, however, the warranty will be voided.
Do I need a kitchen designer if I have a builder or interior designer?
A kitchen designer is a master in their field. Although an interior designer can provide direction on overall concept and finishes, a kitchen designer will ensure that the mechanics and functionality of the kitchen are properly considered. We will work collaboratively with your interior designer and/or builder to ensure your vision is met.
